DECLARATION FOR TEXTBOOKS PRESCRIBED FOR 2022-23 :
This is to certify that Chaitanya School, Gandhinagar follows CBSE guidelines for prescribing the textbooks for classes Nursery to XII. NCERT textbooks are used for classes VI to XII. Due to insufficient quantity of NCERT textbooks available in the market or online portals, Chaitanya School prescribes some textbooks of private publishers. Chaitanya also prescribes textbooks of private publishers for Pre-Primary as NCERT does not publish these textbooks.
The textbooks from private publishers are selected with utmost care by Senior Management members of the school along with experienced faculty members of the concerned classes to ensure that age-appropriate and quality content is shared and students get the best learning experience through these books.
In wake of the recent pandemic, it is ensured that the books used are suitable and useful for online teaching-learning activity also. Chaitanya staff and students are happy to be able to continue with uninterrupted studies due to these curriculum books during online classes also.
DETAILS OF CURRICULUM :
The curriculum refers to the lesson and educational content to be taught to a learner in school. At Chaitanya School, we follow the guidelines set by the CBSE as far as curriculum is concerned. We are complying with NEP requirements too. The textbooks used are prescribed by the Board along with the reference material for holistic development of the students. The curriculum encompasses not only instructional teaching but also imparting of life skills, values and application of knowledge in real life situation. The teaching learning activities include interactive sessions between the mentors and the taught. We at Chaitanya focus on P5 methodology to bring home the message to the students of real learning. It includes Preparation before the class, Presentation, Practice, Production and Parental involvement. Horizontal and Vertical integration is an integral part of teaching learning activity at Chaitanya. Every teacher is expected to impart information and details as far as possible about the subject related to the topic under discussion. To maintain the continuity about what is being taught, the teachers always refer to the portion related to the topic taught in the previous class. As far as evaluation is concerned, our focus is on the testing of skill and application of knowledge. Question papers are designed in such a way as there is minimum test of rote learning. The students are expected to write their tests on a short notice as they are always prepared for the same.
