Chaitanyotsav 2019 Spectacular Extravaganza on 18th December The Annual Founders’ Day celebration of Chaitanya School Gandhinagar, CHAITANYOTSAV 2019 was celebrated at the Town Hall, Gandhinagar. The theme, “Restore Balance” was interpreted in ‘Aranya: The Lifeline’ and ‘Vasundhara: The Gift of the Gods’, by students from Nursery to Senior Secondary. Sowing the seeds of future Event Management, all students participated either onstage or back-stage, with emphasis on meticulous planning and attention to detail. Dance and drama were effectively used to convey the theme running through the whole day with the students. Unique costumes were designed in-house using non- woven fabric signifying Chaitanya’s encouraging attitude to Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. “At Chaitanya, we endeavour to prepare students for the work place by providing an invaluable set of employability skills, including the ability to think for themselves, the skills to communicate effectively, the ability to lead , and the capacity for lifelong learning, through Humanities & Liberal Arts education”, says Ms Eliabeth Koshy, Founder Director. Through the three sutradhaars, the Past: The Feminine Principle, the Present: Patriarchy and the Future: Ardhranreshwaram creatively depicted how we equate the status of women with that of Mother Earth… Our Vasundhara and how both need their rightful place in the Sun. Primary school’s act revolved around saving the environment where ‘Vad Dada’ shared his plight of living in the midst of a polluted city with young Chaitanyans who are ready to help him by making the city clean and green. Our Guests of Honour and Chief Guest for Junior and Senior Chaitanyotsav on 18th December 2019 were, Ms Sonal Modi, Writer and Translator, and Dr Sudhir K. Jain, Director IIT, Gandhinagar, respectively. The guests were very appreciative of the programme and Dr Sudhir K. Jain, esteemed Director IIT Gandhinagar is well known for his views on a holistic education technical education. He appreciated the values put forth by the programme. He said he could see Chaitanya School’s efforts in shaping young minds to face the challenges they are going to encounter in life. Trustees and Advisors of the Sree Vidya Niketan Trust (SVNT), other eminent guests and parents graced the occasion. The Sree Vidya Niketan Trust (SVNT) which manages Chaitanya School believes in giving back to Society and wishes to inculcate this philosophy in the students.
