Shri Prafull Anubhai is a distinguished educationist and thought leader who has combined experience in industry with a deep commitment to academia and culture. An alumnus of the London School of Economics (B.Sc. Economics) and the Programme for Management Development at Harvard Business School, he spent over three decades leading enterprises while engaging deeply with institution-building.

He had a unique association with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) for more than four decades as participant, visiting faculty, and member of its Society and Board of Governors, later chronicled in his acclaimed book The IIMA Story: The DNA of an Institution. He is also the Founder-Chairman of SVNT, Founder-Chairman of Ahmedabad University’s Board of Management, a long-serving member of the Ahmedabad Education Society, and Co-founder of the Saptak Archives for Indian classical music.

As Founder Chairman and now Chairman Emeritus and Mentor of SVNT, he has been instrumental in shaping Chaitanya’s philosophy that education must remain a service to society, not a business. Based in Ahmedabad with lifelong ties to Gujarat’s academic institutions, his guidance continues to inspire Chaitanya’s growth and Gandhinagar’s emergence as a centre of quality education. Outside of professional work, he is deeply engaged in Indian classical music and cultural institutions.
