Van Mahotsav 2024

It’s never too early to start awareness of the environment at Chaitanya.

Van Mahotsav, or Forest Festival, is an annual tree-planting movement in India celebrated in the first week of July. Initiated in 1950 by K.M. Munshi, it aims to create awareness about the importance of forests and tree conservation. During this week, millions of trees are planted across the country to combat deforestation, promote environmental sustainability, and enhance biodiversity. The festival also emphasizes the need for community participation in protecting the environment.
